Laws in the Art Industry

DATA PROTECTION ACT - Its a storage of data on a website which is info about each person. If you buy it, sell it copy it without permission you are breaking the coding which can have penalties of fines.

OBSCENE OBJECTION - Corrupt and disabuse stuff which is horrible images or multimedia vile stuff. An example is the Chanel advert who had a dead actress on it. The penalty's are 6 months for downloading it, 2 years if you produced it and 3 years if your the manager of the materials.

COMPUTER MISUSE ACT - Known as the CMA This is copying, piracy, downloads. Stuff which you didn't pay money for. The Penalty can be up to 5 years.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTIES - When a final piece is produced it's automatically copyrighted to the recorder. Trademarked is incredibly specific and is anything creatable ie. Word, symbol, recipe.

DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION - If you make a website or a poster or anything for the target audience (which nearly always people who are disable or with different skin colours) and it doesn't offend people with skin colours. Also if it doesn't allow the disabled to view it in the same light then you are discriminating them.
